Bollywood star Aamir Khan has sued film magazine Filmfare for "falsely" using his name to promote
its annual award ceremony that was held Saturday night.
Aamir, one of the most sought after stars in Hindi cinema, reportedly sued Filmfare for Rs.210 million
($4.7 million) for showing him as wanting to get the "Lady in Black" - a reference to the award trophy,
television reports said.
Filmfare had used the names and photographs of several actors in its advertisement campaign in the
run-up to the awards function.
Aamir, however, is said to have avoided attending any film awards function in the past few years.
