While most producers are waiting in vain for Salman Khan to sort out his personal problems, he has gone out of his way for Saawan Kumar's film titled ‘Saawan-The Love Season'.
Kumar had initially asked the actor for only a few days of his time to shoot for the film but Salman shot for 23 days at a stretch. "Salman carries the entire film on his shoulders. After listening to a reading of the script he decided to shoot for it continuously and complete the film," says Kumar.
The actor has also performed some death-stunts for the introductory scene in the film. Salman was required to rescue the heroine, Saloni Aswani on mid-street from a mishap and in order to bring out more authenticity he declined a duplicate and performed the stunt himself.
He then performed stunt between two speeding vehicles. On the sets there was a stunned silence, then followed nosiy applause for Salman daring act. The scene in the film comes at a turning point in the narrative, from where the story takes a dramatic twist.
Khan's character in Saawan is endowed with divine powers. He plays a character that loses interest in this world. Then he realises that he is gifted with the power to foresee disaster.
Salman is sporting a new look for the film -curly long hair over a brooding face with deep set blue eyes. "It is probably one of Salman's best look in recent times. The honest intensity in his eyes that is reflected in the film is so much characteristic of the person he is in real life,' Saawan Kumar states.
