The Jaan Leva girl of Moksha is not just some another girl trying to make it big in Bollywood.The USA-based Dr Kalpana Pandit was Miss Iowa-USA in 1994. She bagged a role in M F Husain`s much-hyped Gaja Gamini when she was visiting Mumbai. And now she has made it a regular affair to come to Bollywood to shoot for item numbers and glamorous roles.

Kalpana has created waves with the seductive Jaan Leva number in Ashok Mehta`s Moksha – Salvation.She is also doing Mahesh Manjrekar`s Pitaah and Pyaar Kiya Nahin Jaata.Kalpana is a physician who graduated from the University of Iowa. Basically from Mysore, she flies down to Mumbai for these bit roles.
