But on his latest trip to India Will made sure that things go smoothly this time around when the duo two met each other at Grand Hyatt Hotel on February 26.
The MIB star and his team cordially welcomed Ash and after that meeting between the two lasted a good one and a half hours. The buzz is that Smith gave Ash a detailed narration of the film's story after which he offered her the lead role. Ash who was looking equally enthusiastic about the film is said to have accepted the offer and the film
According to Smith's business manager James Lassiter, the details are in the process of being worked out and the film will hit the floors very soon this year. Talking about duo's chemistry one onlookers says, "To say they hit it off instantly would be an understatement. It was clear from the start that Ash and Will were going to be buddies.
"After a point it ceased to be a meeting between two internationally known actors and the two were like buddies cracking up at their jokes. When Will's business manager offered Ash a role she was all for it, more so when she heard the story line."
Endorsing the latest buzz Aishwarya Rai's business manager, Hari Singh says,"It is a fantastic story and Ash was absolutely delighted on hearing it. She was more than pleased to accept it. The film will be made on par with some of the expensive Hollywood projects made in recent times. It is incomparable to the international films that Aishwarya has done so far."
At the end of the meeting Singh presented Smith with a brass idol of Lord Ganesha as a symbol of love from India and put a 'tilak' on his forehead, which delighted the latter to no end. 'Oh it's Lord Ganesha', he remarked excitedly and held on to the idol for a long time.
However, Ash also presented a beautiful sari to Smith's wife Jada Pankett who couldn't accompany him because she was playing with her music band in the US. "It was a lovely gesture that touched Will," reveals an eyewitness.
Will also gushed that he was a huge fan of Bollywood diva and said, "She has a powerful energy. She doesn't have to say anything, she doesn't have to do anything. Whatever she wants to make, I'm there."
