Actor Amitabh Bachchan was at his usual best and looking fine and fit today, when he inaugurated "Vission Eye Centre" in Juhu.

This was Amitabh's first public appearance after he made a brief presence in the FilmFare awards function held last month, after his surgery and recuperation for an intestinal problem in November last year.

He, however, did not speak to the media in the short 10 minutes of his presence at the function.

Meanwhile, as per the buzz in media circles Bachchan is expected to resume his shoots on March 20 when he would be completing the remaining portion of Karan Johar's film "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna".

Thane Police Commissioner D Shivanandan was also present.

Vision Eye centre has Conductive Keratoplasty for Presbyopia a condition that occurs with growing age and results in the inability of the human eye to focus.

"With the launch of Vission Eye Centre, people in India will have access to the latest technology and precision available only to select centres in the world," the founder of Vission Eye Centre, a leding ophthalmologist Dr Himanshu Mehta told reporters today.
