Singer-actor Rishabh Tandon, popularly known by his stage name Faqeer, has passed away at the age of 35 after suffering a heart attack in Delhi on Tuesday night.
As per a family source, Tandon had been staying in Delhi since August to be with his ailing father. “He passed away last night due to a heart attack. He had been in Delhi for the past few months because his father wasn’t keeping well,” the source confirmed.
Best known for his soulful numbers Yeh Ashiqui and Ishq Fakeerana, Tandon had built a loyal fan base with his unique musical style. Based in Mumbai, he lived with his wife, actor-model Olesya Nedobegova Tandon.
Just 11 days before his death, the singer had shared a heartfelt Instagram post celebrating Karwa Chauth with his wife — a post that now remains his final interaction with fans.
Tandon often made headlines for his personal life, notably when rumours linked him with television actor Sara Khan. The buzz grew stronger after a picture of Khan wearing sindoor went viral, though she later dismissed the reports of any relationship.
