Anna was born and raised in Panama city, it location unites Central America to South America, within an hour you can swim and snorkel in either the atlantic or pacific ocean. The heart of the city is a natural forest park crossed by mountain ranges with large rainforests. Anna’s immediate plans are to graduate with a university degree in international relations and business administration and then to work for a year at unicef concentrating in the youth development department for third world countries, after which she would like to get a master’s degree in general management. Hobbies & sporting interests are: meditation, going to the movies and the beach, swimming, basketball, volleyball, dancing: merengue, panamanian reggae and salsa, she also looks after her australian parakeet. Favourite motto is: “if you fall a thousand times, a thousand and one times stand up”.
How would you describe yourself in three words?
Honest, generous, perseverant
Do you have a special or unusual talent? (what is it?)
My special talent would be that I am a great cooker, especially desserts and panamanian and italian dishes,
Where would you most like to visit in the world and why?
The country I would most like to visit is italy, because I want to know the places where my past generations came form. Also I would like to meet my family. And visit the some one of the greatest monuments ever build and to know more about one of the richest countries of the world.
What is the best thing about your country?
The best thing about my country can be described in one world: diversity. We have a diversity of cultures and religions form around the world mixed together in a peaceful way. Also we have an abundance of flora and fauna. The virgin beaches that surround the entire country gave us, the panamanian, the opportunity to connect the pacific ocean and the caribbean sea, by the panama canal. We have the second greatest biodiversity forest behind the amazon, and was declared by the unesco a world heritage site. And it was designated as a biosphere reserve two years later.

If you were granted one wish, what would it be?
The wish of eradicate hunger around the world especially in third world countries and Africa.
If you were stuck on a desert island with one other person (famous or not) whom would you choose?
I choose my mother, because she has always given me the strength and support to reach my goals. Someone who gave me moral values and love that has made me a better human being everyday. Being with her on a desert island would create a much more stronger bond between us.
What is your message to all the other miss world contestants?
My personal message would be that: ‘this pageant is about winning unique learning experiences, not only a crown. We have our goals and dreams already settled. So we must pursue them in order to succeed.
