Where did you grow up? Tell us a little about your home town/city, and family.
I grew up in a small town right outside Aurba’s capital, Oranjestad. Dakota, my hometown, is a very humble and friendly town. Many of Aruba’s athletes come from Dakota. The town is known for it’s energetic people and their will to strive and move forward.

What Jobs have you done? What was the most interesting/bizarre?
I’ve been a fashion model, worked in a fashion boutique and now I work in the tourism industry in Aruba. The most interesting job I’ve ever had is working in the tourism field. Here you get to know many different people from different backgrounds. You get insight into many different cultures and therefore receive a better understanding of the human race.

What are your career ambitions, how do you plan to realise them?
My career ambition is to finish my studies in Travel and Tourism and to work for the Aruba Tourism Authority, which is the local entity for tourism affairs of Aruba.

What is the proudest moment of your life? (Not including winning your National Title)
The proudest and most unforgettable moment in my life is when I helped my Mother renovate our house. I gave her all my savings so that she could fix urgent repairs at our home.

What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
The funniest moment of my life was when my Aunt’s organized "faranda parade" in front of our house. We got the neighbourhood to join in and it turned into a mini costumes parade on the streets in front of our houses. Seeing all the women dress up and feeling completely free joined together in dance is one of most funniest and proud moments of my life.

What was the funniest/most embarrassing moment of your life?
My life has not changed a lot after winning the Miss World Aruba title I am a very responsible, social, caring and outgoing individual so I just did what I would normally do…I am myself! Naturally the responsibility to represent my island on international level has made me more conscious of my preparation and has made me want to excel even more in what I do.

Tell us about an interesting event you have attended, or a person that you have met.
I’ve recently attended a Cultural event in Aruba that presented the way of life of our native Indians. The event was extremely important due to the fact that is showed an entirely different way of life and suggested some connections between the past ways and the present ways. It was a very enlightening experience.

What would you like to do, if you became Miss World 2004?
If I were to win the Miss World title I would like to prove to all the little girls out there that dreams do come true. I would like to show all girls of all social backgrounds that they can achieve their goals with honesty, determination and hard work. The Miss World title would empower me to send a message to the global community, a message of hope, faith and togetherness.

If you had a personal motto what would it be?
Dreams do come true!

Give details of any charitable work undertaken?
I’ve been visiting the "Casa Cuna" home for children where I’ve helped bring some funds to the orphanage. I’ve also been visiting patients at the hospital and have been bringing them books from local writers. It was also fun organising a bingo afternoon for the elderly at the Kibrahacha Centre.
