Jiah committed suicide at her Juhu residence somewhere between 11 and 11.30 pm Monday night.

What went wrong?
If initial investigation and Jiah's mother's statement are to be believed then after some not so impressive performances in some of the recent auditions, that Jiah gave for a few southern cine flicks, possibly Jiah slipped into depression hence taking the extreme step.

A glorious debut
When Jiah debuted opposite Big B in Nishabd she literally emerged as next big thing for Bollywood biggies. And it was because of her bold and confident performance, that she even secured a nomination for Filmfare best female debut award.

Showbiz journey
Later on Jiah also shared the screen space with Mr Perfectionist Aamir in Ghajini. Post this she was also seen in 2010 multi-starrer blockbuster Houseful where again she succeeded in registering her presence.

From Nafisa to Jiah
Before stepping in the glittery lanes of Bollywood, she adopted her screen name Jiah. But subsequently adopted back her old name Nafisa in 2012.

Opportunity Lost
Reportedly, Jiah was to make her Bollywood debut at the age of 16 years with Mukesh Bhatt's Tumsa Nahi Dekha, but subsequently she backed out because she found her character to be too mature for her persona.
