The Boryeong Mud Festival is an annual festival which takes place during the summer in Boryeong, a town around 200 km south of Seoul, South Korea.
Some say that its even more fun than the Tomatina festival of Spain, made famous in India by ZNMD.
Of the numerous festivals in Korea, it is the Boryeong Mud Festival that probably attracts the largest number of international visitors.
In order to promote the Daecheon beach area mud, Boryeong city started a festival where they would bring in mud for people to experience for free.
The mud is considered rich in minerals and used to manufacture cosmetics.
The Boryeong Mud Festival 2011 dates are 16th-24th July. You can be there!
