    So have a look at some of the movie of the recent times which have faced the ban on the pretext of being a threat to communal harmony.

    Sadda Haq

    Regional cine flick which has recently landed in the troubled water is Punjabi cine delight Sadda Haq. Reportedly the movie has been banned by Punjab and Haryana governments on the pretext that it glorifies the the Khalistan movement and its leaders.

    And at the same time it soils the image of the cops who had been the part of anti terrorist movement in Punjab.

    Earlier it was Kamal Hassan's million dollar espionage thriller Vishwaroop which fell prey to the regional wrath and got banned in states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, after around 25 Muslim organisations alleged that the sections of the film portray the community in a bad light.

    The movie fetched the wrath of the community leading to a temporary ban on the movie in Andhra Pradesh, UP and Punjab, which was subsequently lifted.

    And as apprehended by the makers the movie was banned in the state of Gujrat but subsequently movie succeeded in winning two National Film Awards.
