Rauf Lala - Agneepath
Till the advent of Agneepath, it was believed that, Rishi has got some inhibitions pertaining to negative roles and can excel only in roles with bright shades.
But the man brushed aside all the speculations and emerged as one of the outstanding performers in the negative shade too. -
Dean Yoginder Vashisht - Student of the Year
Donning the robe of a gay or gay-like character had never been an easy task for any of the B-towner, and when you are a veteran actors then the task becomes altogether more challenging.

If buzz has any thing to do to with the facts then in Arjun Kapoor and Sashe Agah starrer, Aurangzeb, Rishi will be seen playing character with somewhat grey shades. In the movie he will be seen as a corrupt cop Ravikant.

D-Day
Although Rishi played the negative character in Agneepath also but, at that time his performance was somewhat overshadowed by, Sanjay Dutt's 'Kancha Chinaa' avatar.
But in the upcoming cine flick D-Day, it is going to be, Rishi's show where he will be playing the character of a don which somewhat resembles the real life underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
