Guillermo del Toro, the king of monster movies is going from auteur to author. The Mexican filmmaker will be publishing his every short story collection in collaboration with Amazon Original Stories. The short story collection will come out in 2021.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker spoke on his turn as an author in a statement, mentioning that "Throughout the years, I've been inspired by reading short stories, from ghost stories to fairy tales. Now I have the privilege to create and share my own." These short stories will also be available in other formats such as a Kindle ebook and an Audible audiobook.

Guillermo del Toro is working on the remake of the 1947 noir "Nightmare Alley" starring Bradley Cooper, Cate Blanchett, Rooney Mara, Toni Collete and will go ahead with his passion project "Pinocchio" which is he is making in collaboration with Netflix.
