Wash Westmoreland, the director of last tear's "Collete" starring Keira Knightley is back with an intriguing murder mystery. His latest, "Earthquake Bird" follows a tumultuous love triangle and how the flaming jealousies lead to shocking consequences.
"Earthquake Bird" is set in 1989 Tokyo and follows Lucy Fly(Alicia Vikander) a young female expat, who is suspected of murder when her friend Lily(Riley Keough) goes missing in the wake of a tumultuous love triangle with Teiji (Naoki Kobayashi), a handsome local photographer.
Based on Susanna Jones' novel of the same name, the movie is written and directed by Wash Westmoreland and stars Alicia Vikander, Riley Keough, Naoki Kobayashi, Jack Huston, Kiki Sukezane, and Ken Yamamura. It will have its world premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 10, 2019. It is scheduled to be released on November 1, 2019, before digital streaming on November 15, 2019, by Netflix.
