"The Last King of Scotland" director Kevin Macdonald is taking on real-life event for his next project. Kevin's next movie titled "Prisoner 760" will star Benedict Cumberbatch, Jodie Foster, Tahar Rahim, and Shailene Woodley based on a true-life story of a suspected terrorist-held without trial
"Prisoner 760" will star Tahar Rahim as Mohamedou Ould Slahi, a suspected al-Qaida terrorist captured by the U.S. government who languishes in prison for years without charge or trial. Losing all hope, Slahi finds allies in defense attorney Nancy Hollander (Jodie Foster) and her associate Teri Duncan (Shailene Woodley).Together, they face countless obstacles in a desperate pursuit for justice. Their controversial advocacy, along with evidence uncovered by formidable military prosecutor Lt. Stuart Couch (Benedict Cumberbatch), eventually reveals a shocking and far-reaching conspiracy.
Michael Bronner is writing the screenplay based on Slahi's memoir "Guantanamo Diary". The project which will go into production in South Africa in December is being produced by Benedict Cumberbatch with Adam Ackland and Leah Clarke, Lloyd Levin, Beatriz Levin, and Bronner himself.
