The "Stayin' Alive" hitmakers Bee Gees are getting their own movie! The project is coming from Paramount Pictures, who have now involved Steven Speilberg and his company Amblin Partners after a business-related misunderstanding lead to Steven Spielberg being strongly upset.

According to Speilberg, he thought it was him who was attached to the project. However, he later learned that he had nothing to do with the "Bee Gees" movie as the project was in the hands of Paramount Pictures. As soon as the Paramount's Chief Jim Gianopulos came to know of his, he let Spielberg in on the project who will now play for the 25% of the movie.

The Bee Gees were a pop music group formed in 1958. Their lineup consisted of brothers Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb. The trio was especially successful as a popular music act in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and later as prominent performers of the disco music era in the mid-to-late 1970s. After the success of "Rocketman," Paramount made a quick move by getting the Bee Gees' rights. After this blunder, it will interesting to see this project get rolling, as Steven Speilberg is one of the busiest people in Hollywood.
