Whatever the feelings towards Robert Pattinson playing Batman might be, people seem to be having a good time with the television series chronicling Batman's fancy British butler Alfred."Pennyworth" has been renewed for a second season by the cable network Epix. The second season will be a 10-episode run and will start production in January at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the United Kingdom.
Micheal Wright, the president of Epix said in a statement "Pennyworth has been a big hit for us, embraced by critics and fans alike. It was the highest-performing original series ever to premiere on Epix, more than doubling the viewership of the shows that came before it. Bruno Heller, Danny Cannon, and WBTV have delivered a brilliant, must-watch series. We can't wait to work with this phenomenal cast and creative team on another exciting season."
"Pennyworth" stars Jack Bannon as a young Alfred Pennyworth in the origin story of Batman's most trusted advisor and friend, who was a former special-forces soldier living in London. The series also looks into how he came to work for Bruce Wayne's father. It also stars Ben Aldridge, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, Ryan Fletcher, Dorothy Atkinson, Paloma Faith, Ian Puleston-Davies, Jason Flemyng, Polly Walker, and Emma Paetz.
