Comedy star Amy Poehler, who transitioned into filmmaking with her directorial debut "Wine Country" for Netflix is rounding up talent for her next project. Her second feature titled "Moxie" has added Patrick Schwarzenegger to its cast.
Based on the Jennifer Mathieu's book of the same name, "Moxie" tells the story of a girl (to be played by Hadley Robinson) from a small town who is inspired by her mother's Riot Girl past and starts a feminist revolution at her high school.
Tamara Chestna will pen the on-screen adaptation, with Morgan Sackett, Amy Poehler and Kim Lessing producing the movie. Hadley Robinson and Lauren Tsai also star in Poehler's second feature as a director. Currently under production in Los Angeles, it does not have a release date yet. Streaming giants Netflix will handle the distribution.
