Actress Kate Winslet admits her blabbering tongue once put her into an embarrassing situation, when she asked Meryl Streep if she could French kiss her.

The British beauty is given to uttering things on a whim, which often lead her to blurt out words she actually never meant. She reveals she was so excited to meet her idol at a recent awards ceremony she accidentally made the embarrassing offer.

“I went up to her and said, ‘Oh my God, I love you so much, I would happily tongue-kiss you right now!’” Hollywood Rag quoted the actress, as saying.

The 31-year-old also admits her hasty comments often annoy her husband, film director Sam Mendez, as she explained: “Doing things on a whim, taking risks - I definitely have that side. It drives Sam mad.”

But on the other hand, Winslet reveals her brave nature also plays a big part when she is choosing film roles.

“When I choose a role, it’s to try something different. I look back over the past decade and think, ‘God, I’ve had these wild opportunities to try so many outrageous things,’” she said.
