Six Japanese police officers have been disciplined for allowing a prisoner to return home so she could pick up a jumper.
The woman, who was awaiting trial on drugs charges, had complained that her cell was too cold.
She collected the jumper and secretly picked up some medication to try and commit suicide.
Ibraki Prefectural Police has not revealed details of the punishment handed out to the six officers, the Mainichi Daily News reports.
