Sheep in Ireland Go on Week-Long Sex Drive After Drinking Water Contaminated by Viagra
Thousands of sheep in Southern Ireland went on a week-long sex drive after drinking water from the Ringaskiddy Harbour, which was apparently contaminated by viagra.

According to reports, the contamination happened after drug manufacturer Pfizer accidentally spilled tonnes of viagra into the harbour.

The sheep, after drinking water from the harbour, started behaving strangely and became sexually overactive, surprising hundreds of shepherds in the region. Murphy Richards, a shepherd, told RTE One the animals were "behaving like sex maniacs".

The viagra contamination affected over 80,000 sheep along with a few hundred herds of cattle.

Pfizer admitted that one of its drug-manufacturing plants accidentally spilled unfiltered viagra in the Ringaskiddy harbour over the last week. The quantity of spilled viagra exceeded 755 tonnes, said reports.

"The system was repaired on Sunday and the problem now seems to be resorbing, but it could take weeks before all infected animals' behaviour comes back to normal," said the report.

A local report said the contamination problem was controlled on Sunday, but it could take several weeks for all affected animals start to behaving normally again.

But this isn't the first time that the coastal village of Ringaskiddy has had to face problems due to industrial activities in the area. Back in 2017, the village filed a class-action lawsuit after fumes from a plant made daily life difficult for humans and animals.
