The mask that costed him Rs 2.89 lakh is quite thin and has minute holes in it, so that there is no difficulty in breathing. However, Shankar is not very sure about the effectiveness of the mask in protecting him from the novel coronavirus.
Well, only the face cover is made of gold. The threads to tie the mask has been spared of this gold adventure.
But while many seemed awed at the mask and the fact that it is made of gold, others said that using a mask worth 2.89 lakhs would probably make more sense if it could protect him from coronavirus. Take a look:

The total number of novel coronavirus in India has crossed the 6 lakh mark and over 18,000 deaths have been recorded. Pune has reported around 6,000 Covid-19 positive cases with 274 fatalities.
