The Delhi Capitals Owner Shocked His Entire Squad With a Stirring Surprise Twist!
The 13th edition of the Indian Premier League is being played in the United Arab Emirates and The Delhi Capitals are currently enjoying a stellar season as they are sitting on top of the table, with seven wins from ten matches. Right now, the premier league is held across the three venues in the UAE and all the safety measures are taken by all players and they are playing in a bio-secure bubble. This is the first time when international player's families are not with them in this two months long tournament.

But not to make the players feel sorrow about the situation, the Delhi Capitals owner planned an emotional surprise for the entire squad when the team won over Chennai Super Kings. The team chairman and co-owner Parth Jindal called all the players for a gathering, they were informed that they would be shown clips of the last eight to ten matches as they hadn't performed well. That took the smile off the player's face. But Parth had a sweet surprise planned for the team.

Check out the stirring surprise here:

The video clips started with coach Ricky Ponting's kids wishing the team luck and hoping they lift the title. That did lift the spirits of the coach and the players. On the other side, Marcus Stoinis was almost in tears when he saw his family's video message on the screen. Likewise, each and every team player gets an opportunity to see the video message shared by their families.

On this Ricky Ponting said on the stage that, "You know this is an unusual tournament this time around... the fact that we're away from home for three months and whatever we can do, I think to bring ourselves closer to home and just be reminded of the sacrifices that we make but also the sacrifices that our families make to allow us to be here. I think if we can think of that every day then I don't think we'll ever take a single day for granted.

"Just looking back at what's happened the last couple of days with a good friend of mine passing, I think it is times like this that we need to just sit back have a think about how lucky we are to be doing what we're doing and think about the sacrifices that people close to us make to allow us to do what we love doing."

Well, initiated by the team owners of the collated messages from family members of the team had left the squad emotional. But all in all, the joy on the faces of the Delhi players was evident through the video.
