IPL 2020 - Match No. 56 - Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians - Preview and Predictions
Sharjah Cricket Stadium will host the final league-stage game of the Dream11 Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 when Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in Match 56 on Tuesday.

IPL 2020 has been the most closely contested season so far. We have now reached the final group match of the season and there are still placed to be filled in the IPL playoffs.

SRH has won three out of its last four matches and been able to improve its net run-rate significantly. As a result, it just has to win this match to qualify for the playoffs. The team has managed to overcome injuries, changed its team balance, and managed to find a way to win. It is within touching distance of a playoff spot, something that seemed out of grasp even a week ago.

SRH has an advantage that it played its previous match at Sharjah. It knows what to expect from the conditions and is going to approach the game in much the same way.

Sandeep Sharma has been very good for SRH with the new ball and will be supported by Jason Holder. T Natarajan is the specialist death bowler (more Yorkers than anyone else in this season of the IPL). Rashid Khan has gone for more than 25 runs this season just twice. With him in such imperious form, it appears as if SRH has a bowling attack that it can trust.

The batting looks a bit thin, though. David Warner is playing aggressive cricket and that could mean a decrease in his consistency. Wriddhiman Saha, Manish Pandey, and Kane Williamson are the other batsmen in the side. They are in form but far from being infallible.

The role of Jason Holder is going to be crucial in the lower order as there is no doubt that every single aspect of this SRH side is going to be tested against SRH.

Mumbai Indians have barely missed a beat after missing Rohit Sharma, one of the bestT20 batsmen in the world. The team has added Saurabh Tiwari to the team but he has not had to do much so far.

Ishan Kishan has been very good at the top and his partnership with Quinton de Kock has been excellent. Hardik Pandya was rested in the previous match for Jayanat Yadav and could make a comeback for this final group match.

The bowling attack for the Mumbai Indians is exceptional. Jasprit Bumrah is now leading the race for the Purple Cap while Trent Boult is the highest wicket-taker in the powerplays. Rahul Chahar has been excellent in the middle and is in line for the emerging player of the tournament award.

Add the likes of Krunal Pandya, Nathan Coulter-Nile, and Kieron Pollard to the lineup and you have an all-international bowling attack. Wickets always seem to be around the corner and MI can adapt to any bowling conditions that it is confronted with.

The only possible weakness could be in the batting if MI loses a couple of wickets early. SO far, however, its middle order has been able to adapt pretty admirably.

Weather Forecast
During the match the temperature is expected to be around 27-30 degrees celcius. The forecast shows no chance of rain. As the evening progresses, the humidity will rise to 72 percent and the wind speed around 19-20 kmph.

Pitch Report
The pitch at Sharjah has become slower and been more difficult to score. The middle overs with the spinners are going to be tough for the batsmen to score in. Batting second has been favoured here as the evening dew makes it a challenge to grip the ball. The last five games at Sharjah have been won by the chasing teams. A total of around 175 is going to be quite difficult to chase down.

Toss Prediction
Teams choose to field first after winning the toss probably because of some dew that comes in later. That makes batting just a bit easier for the chasing team. Expect the team that wins the toss to want to field first.
