Lover Cyberbullied, Tamil Nadu Man Steals 500 Medicos' Laptops
After his girlfriend was bullied by fellow medical students, a man from Tamil Nadu was so upset that he decided to exact revenge from the 'harassers'.

The incident of alleged bullying of the girl dates back to 2015. The accused Tamilselvan Kannan targeted important gadgets like laptops of the doctors based across India.

The matter came to light after Jamnagar police in Gujarat caught a 24-year-old laptop thief identified as Tamilselvan Kannan, according to a report in Times of India.

Kannan reportedly confessed to police about stealing 500 laptops from different medical college hostels across the country since 2015. Most of the medical colleges were from South India.

Jamnagar police had been on the trail of Kannan who had stolen five laptops from the girls' hostel of the MP Shah Medical College in December last year.

"Some medical students in Chennai had recorded an objectionable video of a girl in 2015 and made it viral on the internet. The victim was Kannan's girlfriend and this left him with bitter experience and a grudge against medical students," the report quoted Inspector KL Gadhe, B-division, Jamnagar Police station.

Police said the accused used to search names and addresses of medical colleges on the internet to target his victims.

He targeted laptops of medical students as they couldn't be traced and they were easily sold. Tamilselvan initially targeted the medical colleges in south India and shifted to Faridabad.

He committed his first theft in Jamnagar after he reached the city in December last year. He first conducted a recce of the girls' hostel and managed to steal the laptops on December 26.
