Elon Musk Loses Round One Vs Indian American Student Who Sued Him
The earth's richest billionaire and owner of Tesla Company, Elon Musk, is facing a tough fight with an Indian student Randeep Hothi.

Elon Musk has been sued by Indian student Randeep Hothi for defamation and Tesla's owner suffered a severe defeat in the first round. Well, recently, Musk failed to convince the US federal judge of dismissing the defamation lawsuit filed by Rothi against him and the judge verdict the case in Hothi's favour.

It all started when in February 2019, Randeep Hothi had a fight with security personnel when he went to a sales center in Tesla, California. The second incident took place in April 2019, when Hothi uploaded a photo of a Tesla car on social media and claimed that he was being followed by the company members. The incidents made Musk furious and called Hothi a liar and accused him of nearly killing Tesla employees while driving.

After Musk's allegations, Randeep Hothi filed the lawsuit in August at Alameda county superior court. Meanwhile, Elon asked the judge to strike the lawsuit on the grounds that his remarks on Tesla were baseless. However, Musk has now lost and California state judge Julia Spain of Alameda County Superior Court stated that Hothi's lawsuit had its own advantages and he could also win the case.

Randeep Hothi is a former student of the University of California in Berkeley and currently a doctoral candidate in Asian languages at the University of Michigan.

The one who is known as the vocal critics of Elon Musk and Tesla and keeps on sharing his opinions through his 'skabooshka' Twitter handle. Randeep describes himself as Investigating/Reporting on corporate fraud and is in legal battles with Elon Musk. He also says that he is "Currently focusing on Tesla". Hothi is known to be part of a global anonymous group of Tesla critics who are collectively called '$TSLAQ'. The group consists of former Tesla employees and graduate students like Hothi, many of whom often take to social media and other platforms to criticise Tesla and Musk. His parents live in Fremont, the city where Tesla's auto plant is located.

Well, Randeep Hothi is not the only person who has filed a lawsuit against the Tesla owner but there are more than 1,000 lawsuits against Musk and Tesla, many of which are defamation lawsuits.
