Google honours the freeing of 'Ever Given' with a ship emoji easter egg!
After spending nearly six days stuck in the Suez Canal, the 'Ever Given' ship is now finally freed. Thanks to a supermoon that carried high tides, the cargo ship that had been trapped in the Suez Canal for the past six days is now afloat. A high tide triggered by a supermoon a full moon that increases water levels owing to its heavy gravitational influence on the Planet is said to have helped the jar.

Google also added an easter egg to the search results to commemorate the dislodgement of the 200,000-tonne ship and the reopening of the trading route. An animation of Google's ship emojis floating under the search bar is the easter egg. When looking for words like "Suez Canal" or "Ever Given," a slight but powerful animation appears. Isn't it a sweet gesture by Google?

Ever Given has partially refloated after running aground in the vital global shipping waterway last Tuesday, according to reports. The ship's bow had been wrested from the sea, according to satellite footage from the MarineTraffic website. Two more powerful tugboats had been brought into the canal, taking the overall number of tugboats operating on moving the ship to 14.

The ship's bow is encrusted with iron, making it impossible to free it. Dredgers drilled down about 60 feet and moved over 950,000 cubic feet of sand. At least 369 vessels were delayed as a result of the blockage, which resulted in a huge traffic jam as they waited to travel through the channel, which handles up to 15% of global trade.

Speaking of the Suez Canal, it connects the Mediterranean and Red Seas, enabling direct shipping between Europe and Asia. Ships started to pile up behind Ever Given in the canal, causing a standstill, causing delays in anything from oil to food to clothes to semiconductor deliveries.
