Glamour in Politics: Femina Miss India-2015 runner-up Diksha Singh To Contest UP Panchayat Elections!
There is a spurt of muscle power and glamor in the panchayat elections of Uttar Pradesh. As Femina Miss India-2015 runner-up Diksha Singh has filed nomination for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh panchayat elections from Jaunpur district.

Deeksha Singh is contesting from the Jaunpur district as a member of the District Panchayat. She filed the nomination form on Sunday and now the noise of UP Panchayat is being heard a bit more as after her decision it becomes a high-profile seat.

She will contest the election from ward number 26 and the reason behind Deeksha Singh's entry into the election ground is her father as the seat of Jitendra Singh (Diksha's father) has been reserved for the woman this year.

Perhaps, her father was busy preparing to contest the election for a long time. For more than a year, he was trying his best while promoting himself in the district but at the last moment, the seat was reserved for the woman nominee. So her father decided to allow her daughter to enter into politics.

In regards to her nomination, Diksha said in a statement, "You have to get down to clean your own house that is why I have come to my native village to contest the elections. After I win, I will stay her and work for the developement of the village. I have always been deeply rooted to my village and I know the problems that plague the women here."

Well, Diksha Singh was a BA second-year student when she participated in the Femina Miss India in 2015. Her father Jitendra Singh is a renowned businessman in Goa and Rajasthan. Recently, Diksha's video music 'Rabba Meher Kare' was released in February 2021.
