Chinese Influencer Teaches Women How To Marry Rich, Earns ₹ 163 Crore Per Year
Qu Qu, once known for her singing, has become a controversial figure in China after transforming herself as a relationship influencer and calling herself the 'Mckinsey of relationships.' As per South China Morning Post, her real name is Le Chuan Qu and she runs an online account under the name Ququ Big Woman. She reportedly earns 142 million yuan (approximately Rs 163 Crore) a year and offers advice on marrying wealthy men. To avoid getting banned on the social media platform, she has developed her own unique language. She calls marriage 'inside the fortress,' money 'rice' and describes pregnancy as 'carrying a ball.'

As per the reports, Qu Qu in her videos stated, "All relationships are essentially about benefit exchanges. Everything should be used to boost my advantage and empower me." Surprisingly, the influencer earns her annual income through one-on-one consultations during her live streams, where she charges 1,143 yuan (approximately Rs 13,000). Her popular course, Valuable Relationships, can cost upto 3,580 yuan (approximately Rs 41,000), while for her private counselling packages, Qu Qu asks for 10,000 yuan (approximately Rs 1 lakh) per month.

As per the portal, one of Qu Qu followers said, "Her approach is understandable. What's wrong with wanting both love and money? This is a realistic society. Why shouldn't people strive for better?"

Another added, "She has profoundly impacted me this year. I've learned fundamental concepts like goal orientation and leveraging everything to empower myself. Her insights into recognising a man's true nature are invaluable. I highly recommend her."

However, an individual criticising her method shared, "She teaches girls to use men as cash cows and encourages competition among women. But she herself earns her living by working hard and relying on her own efforts. Isn't that hypocritical?"

In December 2023, Qu Qu hit a roadblock when Weibo suspended her account. The platform accused her of promoting harmful relationship ideas and profiting from selling courses with misleading values. Despite the challenge, the influencer didn't give up and started using artificial intelligence (AI) to continue with her business. To protect herself from getting banned, she now encourages her customers to join her private channels.

Qu Qu's controversial work came into the light in August 2023 when she was found offering advice to a young woman, who was confused between choosing a wealthy boyfriend and a wealthy admirer. Reportedly, the woman's current boyfriend had promised a 4 million yuan (approximately Rs 4 crore) bride price but was delaying payment.

Her other admirer, who is 15 years older, offered a monthly allowance of 30,000 yuan (approximately Rs 3 lakh) and a 20 million yuan (approximately Rs 23 crore) apartment in Shanghai. Qu Qu recommended that the woman should stay with her current boyfriend and he would be more reliable for the long-term.
