YouTuber Smokes Her Father's Ashes To Honour His Dying Wish
In a strange and unconventional gesture, a YouTuber paid homage to her late father by smoking cannabis grown in his ashes. The attention-grabbing stunt by the social media star Rosanna Pansino has left the internet equally baffled and amused. In a series of Instagram stories and X posts, she revealed about smoking cannabis, even expressing that it was a way to honour her father's wish, who passed away from leukaemia five years ago. In a detailed video shared in the first episode of her podcast, Rosanna could be seen smoking as she interacted throughout.

In the November 17 episode titled ‘Smoking My Dead Dad', Rosanna shared that her late father, whom she referred to as ‘Papa Pizza', wanted her to light a joint filled with his remains. "My dad was a badass and quite a little rebel, and I will be following in his footsteps, like a father like a daughter, so to start this episode, I want to tell you guys about my dad's dying wish," she said in the podcast.

Continuing further, Rosana said that before his death, he told her and her mother about what he wanted them to do with his ashes. "Mom was a little hesitant, fearing people would judge us. But as time has gone on and it's been five years now, we just really think that it's the right time to do what dad wanted and to honour him the way he wanted," she added.

"Years ago, he told us that he would like us to take his ashes and mix it with some soil and grow a marijuana plant and smoke it," she shared. The video also features a clip showing the YouTuber actually growing the plant with his ashes, describing it as an "emotional and special" moment. Further in the video, Rosanna could be seen smoking the joints for the audience. "The blunt we smoked was delicious. It tasted so good," she said after taking several hits of it.

In reaction to the video, social media users were left divided. One wrote, "I love this!!! this is actually awesome," while another commented, "It's a beautiful thing you are doing in his honor, it's always a way he's healing yall."

"It's a quirky wish he had, and I do applaud you for upholding it. However, I don't agree with using this as content," someone noted.

Known for her YouTube baking series Nerdy Nummies, Rosanna Pansino recently launched her own podcast, dedicating her pilot episode to her late father.
