A video online that shows a Japanese worker at a plastic food factory making cabbage has racked up. At many Japanese restaurants, there is plastic food out front. The fake meals function as supplements to the menu so people can see what the meals actually look like. And the way this phoney food is made is fascinating. The man uses chemicals and wax that are floated in water before being formed into the correct shape. A green dye is also used and diluted to give the pail green colour associated with a fresh cabbage.
