ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਉਹ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਸਰਬ-ਵਿਆਪਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਜੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ।
He alone is a Brahmin, who contemplates God. -

ਜੀਵ ਖਿਨ-ਖਿਨ ਭੁੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇ ਲੇਖਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੀ ਇਸ ਭਾਰ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਰਖ਼ਰੂ ਨਹੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੇ।
By the account of our deeds, we can never be liberated; one makes mistakes each and every moment. -

ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਲਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਸਮਝੋ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿੱਦਿਆ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਵਿਚਾਰਵਾਨ ਬਣਿਆ ਹੈ।
Contemplating and reflecting upon knowledge, one becomes a benefactor to others. -

ਜੋ ਮਾਇਆ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਦਿੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਆਤਮਕ ਮੌਤ ਹੜਪ ਕਰੀ ਰੱਖਦੀ ਹੈ।
Who is alive, shall surely die. -

ਚੰਗੇ ਮੰਦੇ ਸ਼ਗਨਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਮ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਮ੍ਬੜਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਚਿੱਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨਹੀ ਵੱਸਦਾ।
Good and bad omens affect those who do not adorn Lord in mind.
