ਊਚੈ ਚੜਿ ਕੈ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਏਹਾ ਅਗਿ ।।੮੧।।
Fareed, I thought that I was in trouble; but the whole world is in trouble!
When I climbed the hill and looked around, I saw this fire in each and every home!

My physician is the Guru, the Lord of the Universe.

ਜਗਤੁ ਜਲੰਦਾ ਰਖਿ ਲੈ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ।।
ਜਿਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਉਬਰੈ ਤਿਤੈ ਲੈਹੁ ਉਬਾਰਿ।।
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਵੇਖਾਲਿਆ ਸਚਾ ਸ਼ਬਦੁ ਬੀਚਾਰਿ।।
ਨਾਨਕ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਸੁਝਈ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਖਸ਼ਣਹਾਰੁ।।੧ ।।
Shalok, Third Mehla:
The world is going up in flames - shower it with Your Mercy, and save it.
Save it, and deliver it, by whatever method it takes.
The True Guru has shown the way to peace, contemplating the True Word of the Shabad.
Nanak knows no other than the Lord, the Forgiving Lord।।1।। -

ਮਿਲ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਰੰਗਾ ਰਾਮ ਰਾਜੇ।।
ਹੇ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਕੌਤਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਿਕ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ!
ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲ, ਅਸੀਂ ਮੂਰਖ ਬੇਸਮਝ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਰਨ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ।
I am foolish and ignorant, but I have taken to His sanctuary. May I merge in the love of the Lord of the Universe, O Lord King! -

ਮੋਹਿ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਆਵੈ।।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਾਤਿਸ਼ਾਹ! ਤੂੰ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਉਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਕਰ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਅਕਲ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਉਂਦੀ।
(O Lord)! make me do, what pleases You.
I have no cleverness at all! -

ਅਵਰ ਆਸਾ ਸਭ ਲਾਹਿ।।
ਹੇ ਭਾਈ! ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਰੂਪ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੇ ਆਸਰੇ ਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖ,
ਹੋਰ (ਆਸਰਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ) ਸਭ ਆਸਾਂ (ਮਨ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇ।
Hold tight to the support of the Guru, the Lord.
Give up all other hopes.

ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਾਲਕ! ਮੁਝ ਨਿਮਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਾਣ ਹੈਂ।
ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜੋਈ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ (ਮੇਹਰ ਕਰ) ਤੇਰੀ ਸਿਫਤ-ਸਲਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਸੁਣ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਤਮਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਹਾਸਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
O My Lord & Master, You are the honor of the dishonored such as me. I offer my prayer to you, God; listening to Your Baani, may I live!
