Merely renouncing all activities yet not engaging in the devotional service of the Lord cannot make one happy. But a thoughtful person engaged in devotional service can achieve the Supreme without delay.
All purposes served by a small Well: can at once be served by a great reservoir of water. Similarly, all the purposes of the Vedas can be served to one who knows the purpose behind them.
The highest of the senses are the senses of the mind. But the developed consciousness is superior to the mind. And superior to a developed (individual human) consciousness is He!

Whenever and wherever there is a decline in virtue/religious practice, O Arjuna, and a predominant rise of atheism-at that time I descend Myself, i.e. I manifest Myself as an embodied being.
