Mirza Ghalib Shayari

  • Jee Dhoondta Hai Phir Fursat Ke Raat Din;
    Baithe Rahen Tassavur-e-Jana Kiye Hue;
    Ghalib Humein Na Chhed Ke Phir Josh-e-Ashq Se;
    Baithe Hain Hum Tahayya-e-Toofan Kiye Hue!

    Translation:
    The soul seeks again that vacant time,
    Night and day our memory re-imagining what the beloved is.
    Ghalib do not torment us, for again with the storm of our tears,
    We are sitting here having decided to unleash a hurricane at will.
    ~ Mirza Ghalib
