Shayari

Koi Mil Jaye Mujhe Tum Jaisa Ye Na-Mumkin Sahi;
Lekin Tum Dhund Lo Hum Jaisa Itna Aasan Ye Bhi Nahi!

Apni Gali Mein Mujh Ko Na Kar Dafn Baad-e-Qatl;
Mere Pate Se Khalak Ko Kyon Tera Ghar Mile;
Saqi Gari Kee Sharm Karo Aaj Varna Hum;
Har Shab Piya Hi Karte Hain Mai Jis Kadar Mile!

Translation:
Do not bury me in your alley after my murder,
Why should my address bring the world to your home.
Practice the properieties of wine bearing today,
Other nights, I imbibe whatever can be found.

Kash Woh Samajhte Is Dil Kee Tadap Ko;
To Yun Humein Ruswa Na Kiya Hota;
Unki Ye Berukhi Bhi Manzoor Thi Humein;
Bas Ek Baar Humein Samjh Liya Hota!

sms

Hum Ko Unse Hai Wafa Kee Umeed;
Jo Nahi Jaante Wafa Kya Hai;
Haan Bhala Kar Tera Bhala Hoga;
Aur Darvesh Kee Sada Kya Hai!

Translation:
We hope for fidelity from them,
Who do not know what fidelity may be.
Yes, do well, well will come to you,
What else is the Dervish's cry?

Main Bhi Munh Mein Jubaan Rakhta Hun;
Kaash Pucho Ki Mudda Kya Hai;
Jab Ki Tujh Bin Nahi Koi Maujood;
Phir Yeh Hungama Ai Khuda Kya Hai!

Translation:
I also have a tongue in my mouth,
If only you could ask its articulation,
if there is nothing apart from you, Oh Lord!
Then what is this continual turmoil.

sms

Wafa Kee Keemat Lagai Nahi Jati;
Humse Apni Chahat Chupayi Nahi Jati;
Is Kadar Mohabbat Hai Humein Unse;
Ki Unki Khata Bhi Humse Batai Nahi Jati!

Kuch Main Bhi Thak Geya Use Dhoondte Hue;
Kuch Zindagi Ke Paas Bhi Mohlat Nahi Rahi;
Us Kee Har Ek Ada Se Jhalakne Laga Khaloos;
Jab Mujh Ko Aitbar Kee Aadat Nahi Rahi!

sms

Deedar Tera Kiya Humne, Aaj Gairon Kee Qataar Se;
Na Nazar-e-Inayat Hui, Na Rooh Ko Sukun Mila!

Kitab-e-Ishq Mein Jitne Alfaz Likhe Hain;
Dil Mein Mere Utne Ehsaas Rakhe Hain;
Tum Keh Kar Dekhte Sitamgar, Zalim;
Mere Labon Par Kitne Tere Naam Rakhe Hain!

Tu Dost Kisi Ka Bhi Sitamgar Na Hua Tha;
Auron Pe Hai Woh Zulm Ki Mujh Par Na Hua Tha;
Chhoda Mah-e-Nakhshab Kee Tarah Dast-e-Qaza Ne;
Khurshid Hanuz Us Ke Barabar Na Hua Tha!

Translation: You are no one's friend, albeit, the giver of pain,
The grief you inflicton others, you will not even bestow upon me.
Just as the hand of death can smash the image of Nakhshab's moon,
The sun's radiance will also vanish before it can match that of the beloved.
